Intensive Moscow's Assaults Cut Power Across Kyiv

Power facilities under attack in the region
Ukraine's energy systems have faced increased attacks in the past few days

During the night, Russian missile and drone strikes have caused blackouts in large parts of Ukraine's capital, Kyiv.

Several individuals were injured while residents in eastern districts were left without electricity and faced problems to water systems, as stated by municipal leaders.

Simultaneously, a young boy was killed in a different Russian drone strike in the Zaporizhzhia region in the country's south-east, according to regional authorities.

Moscow has intensified assaults on electrical systems over the last fortnight, while officials has demanded "substantial measures" from partner nations to apply pressure on Moscow.

"The necessity is not symbolic gestures but decisive action - from the United States, European nations and the Group of Seven - in supplying defensive weapons and implementing sanctions," mentioned in a public message.

Authorities reported that numerous aerial vehicles and more than 30 rockets struck the country's power systems, describing such assaults as "premeditated" and against "essential services" as the weather cools.

Energy officials said Moscow was "launching a major assault" and maintenance teams were laboring to fix the damage.

A wave of strikes damaged power facilities and residential structures in Kyiv.

Several of the people wounded in the attacks on the city have been hospitalized, per statements from municipal representatives.

Regional authorities said the urban area came under significant strikes overnight. A seven-year-old child lost their life and three other people were wounded.

The assaults succeed periods of bombing campaigns in the territory, portions of which are currently controlled by invading troops.

All of Ukraine is under warning for hypersonic Kinzhal missile strikes, which are more difficult to detect.

Government officials told journalists that Russia was purposely seeking to damage the country's energy grid, with attacks already disrupting fuel infrastructure.

Authorities confirmed technical personnel and authorities were anticipating further attacks.
